All Star Movers Provides 10,000-Life Saving Meals to the Community

Food waste is a real problem in this country. In fact, one in eight Americans is food insecure, including more than 13 million children and 42 million Americans total. Move For Hunger is a non-profit organization that asks the relocation industry to fight hunger by reducing food waste through the collection of food from those who are moving to a new home.

All Star Movers is proud to partner with Move For Hunger, and is happy to announce that it has collected enough food to provide more than 10,000 life-saving meals to the community! The team at All Star Movers takes food insecurity very seriously. With 1 in 5 children in California being food insecure, we have devoted ourselves to keeping them fed so they can be healthy and happy.

Many people, when faced with a move, will throw out their unused canned and dry goods in haste when prepping for a chaotic relocation. We understand this is a busy time, but we ask that instead of throwing out your extra food, that you donate it to Move For Hunger.

Move for Hunger has a far-reaching network of relocation professionals who agree to collect and deliver millions of pounds of food to food banks and pantries across the United States and Canada. We are proud to be one of those partners striving to make a difference.

The Donation Process

It’s easy, plus it’s a FREE service. Just take a look at these three steps:

  • Set aside your un-opened, non-perishable food items.
  • Our crew will pack up your food and deliver it to a local food pantry.
  • Your donations will be sorted and delivered to local families in need.

For minimal effort on your part, you’ll be helping many local families get the nourishment they need without worrying about where their next meal will come from.

So far, Move For Hunger has collected and delivered 24,841,365 pounds of food to food banks in the U.S. and Canada, while its network has provided 20,701,137 meals for people facing hunger. Let’s keep it going!
